AB As count of Champagne and of Brie and king of Navarre, Thibaut de Champagne had anactive participation in important events of his time, especially in the sixth crusade. It wasreflected in his varied poetical production, which includes a series of songs of crusade. Inthis work these pieces are analyzed placing them in their historical and literary context, inorder to indicate their contribution to the genre and the principal characteristics of thepoet regarding this concrete type of compositions
