AB In this paper we study the different processes used in the expression of humour in LaCelestina and in some of the comedies of the «celestinesque» family. Humour depends onthe situation in which the message is issued, including certain situations with evident sexualor eschatological references, or on the use of certain linguistic resources. The use of irony,jokes, the game with double meaning terms, the linguistic portrayal of characters by theway they speak, etc. Many of these mechanisms are already present in the Tragicomedia deCalisto y Melibea and appear with different preferences and intensity of use in subsequentplays, at the same time that in some of them comic elements that were not present in theoriginal Celestina are developed
