AB Within the framework of internet as a learning tool, pioneering e-learning experiences aretaking place nowadays at the university context. We believe that teaching ESP coursesthrough virtual learning platforms can be a great opportunity to promote these subjects.The instructional design of didactic materials is one of the main bases for a successfuldevelopment of the on-line learning environment, so that it can help students develop theirown self-learning processes. In this paper we present the instructional design of a learningobject which belongs to a virtual course on Reading Scientific English Texts in order tooffer an alternative of how the instructional design of didactic materials can be organizedwithin the e-learning context.
