If we have a quick look at those methodologies used in theclassroom setting, we can appreciate how the application of most of them has finally beenconsidered a failure due to different reasons. In this paper we try to reflect that one of thosereasons and, in our opinion, the most important one is the fact that the figure of the personwho learns the language as well as the key role he / she plays in the learning process hasalmost always been ignored.
