AB The inheritance in abeyance is one of the least regulated figures of theSpanish law, although the usucapio has been present since Roman times.The purpose of this paper is to analyze both institutions, studying if theinheritance in abeyance could be obtained by usucapio. Even though, thispaper is also going to study if the inheritance in abeyance could be obtainedas a whole or if the goods that compounds it are going to be obtained oneby one. Another question that this paper tries to answer is the very nature ofthe own inheritance in abeyance, focusing on the possibility of adding orsubtracting goods while maintaining its status of abeyance.
