AB Women's associations in the municipality of El Rosario on the island of Tenerife has been scarce and it has not been maintained over time, but the support among women has been important to develop transformations in their own spaces and lives.Local administration still has a fundamental role in the development of policies on citizen participation, this area is incipient and begins to develop in the 2015-2019 legislature. As well as they incorporate the gender perspective from all areas of government and establishing actions that lead to the joint construction of measures and policies for equality and prevention on gender-based violence, but that they are maintained over time, creating actions together with the women involved in municipal development, improving the technical resources that allow to attend to women’s needs.
