AB The progress of new technologies around the world made a new concept about digital citizens.ICT offering us new forms to be connected around the world. We recognize it likeglobalization. In a world where the technology is an important part of our life, What´s theposition of the retired people respect de ICT knowledge? This study works to find therelationship between a group of retired people of 60 years old or more, (living in Adeje andGuía de Isora, Tenerife south) with the technologies and digital competences.Throughout the study, you are going to discover how the use that participants make of thenew technologies is. Also, we describe other aspect related to formative characteristic, digitalcompetences, and benefits of using ICT. We achieve it, using a questionnaire.This study reveals that participants which use ICT do it principally to be communicated. Peoplethink that the skills they have developed most are related to communication and digitalcontent. Also, from they are using the technologies, they feel better about themselves.
