AB The Canary Islands have a great maritime tradition and there are many ports alongtheir coast. The aim of this paper is to assess the impact on the environment of theleisure ports by carbon and water footprints. A survey with questions that attempt toaddress the three scopes of the carbon footprint was developed. The data wereconverted into tons of CO2 equivalent, and the amount of greenhouse gasesproduced by the marinas studied was obtained
