T1 Study of the optical properties of different crystals doped with neodymium luminescent ions under extreme conditions of temperature and pressure

AB A characterization of the optical properties of three crystalline lutetium garnets dopedwith trivalent neodymium 𝑁𝑑3+ luminescent ions has been carried out. For this purpose, steadystate optical spectroscopy has been used to measure the absorption and luminescence spectra,as well as time-resolved spectroscopy to calculate the lifetimes of the excited states of the𝑁𝑑3+ ions in 𝐿𝑢3(𝐺𝑎𝑥𝐴𝑙1−𝑥)5𝑂12 garnets. It has also been measured how the luminescencechanges with temperature, in order to calibrate a low-temperature optical sensor. Furthermore,an experimental equipment has been developed to determine the pressure in the sample’schamber of a diamond anvil cell.
