AB Alzheimer's disease is a devastating syndrome with no cure. Despite great efforts, it’s not possible to establish an early preclinical diagnosis due to theabsence of an appropriate biomarker. The sense of smell has received great interest in this field, since olfactory dysfunction is an early symptom thatappears years before motor symptoms, neurodegeneration and cognitivedecline. For this reason, knowledge of the olfactory system’s relation with Alzheimer's could be a great opportunity to find a noninvasive biomarker for thedisease.
