A1 Felipe Méndez, Kimberly A2 Grado En Relaciones Laborales K1 Estrés laboral K1 Inteligencia emocional K1 Trabajadores de supermercados AB Work stress and emotional intelligence are two complex concepts thatincreasingly affect workers, causing their moods to be altered. The aim of this paper is to study the relationship between bothvariables, taking into account the pandemic situation caused by Covid19.In order to verify the relationship, a study was carried out whichconsisted of delivering an organizational stress questionnaire and anemotional intelligence questionnaire, with a total of 25 and 24 itemsrespectively. The sample is made up of fifty supermarket employeeswho responded to the survey completely anonymously and voluntarily. The empirical data presented in this research paper confirm the threehypotheses raised. Specifically, it is confirmed that the greater thework stress, the lower the emotional intelligence; that the femalegender is capable of managing work stress better than the male genderand that older employees generate greater emotional intelligence andless work stress than younger employees. Finally, we have been able to deduce that there is a relationshipbetween work stress variables and emotional intelligence.
