AB After introducing briefly the concept of market, the author analyses its history from the fallof the Roman Empire to 1230, with special attention to the 10th and 12th centuries andthe first half of the 13th century. At the same time, the author studies the types of markets.The medieval taxes in relation with the market, the peace of the market, etc. However, thisstudy is mainly lexicographic, and philological in essence, since the author always departsfrom texts from the region Asturleonense and, in their absence, Castilian texts.
