AB Sexual abuse is a form of violence that affects children from different countries, social strata,cultures and religions. Children and adolescents who have experienced trauma are at high riskof developing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other negative emotional, behavioral,and mental health outcomes, all associated with high personal, wellness, and health costs. Awide range of psychological treatments are used to prevent negative outcomes associated withtrauma in children and adolescents. It is a serious Public Health problem due to its magnitude,the increase in notifications, its extreme severity and consequences on health and well-being,in the short and longterm.The present study evaluates the effectiveness of psychological treatments used in children andadolescents exposed to traumatic sexual events.
