AB One	 of	 the	 main	 tasks	 of	 the	 Spanish	 State	 is	 to	 delimit	 the	 physical	space,	 both	 territorial	 and	 maritime,	 in	 order	 to	 project	 the	 effective	exercise	of	sovereignty,	jurisdiction	and	powers	vis-à-vis	other	States,	which	leads	to	the	delimitation	of	maritime	territory.	In	particular,	the	definition	 of	 the	 maritime	 spaces	 of	 the	 Canary	 Islands,	 as	 a	 State	archipelago.His	understanding	starts	from	the	dogmatic	elaboration	of	the	concept	established	 by	 International	 Law	 in	 the	 Montego	 Bay	 Convention,	following	 the	 study	 of	 internal	 law,	 whose	 literality	 contains	 notable	interpretive	 difficulties,	 as	 it	 coexists	 with	 the	 competences	 assumed	by	the	Autonomous	Community	on	the	coast	maritime.Finally,	 the	maritime	delimitation	of	 the	Canary	 Islands	with	Moroccois	analyzed,	a	situation	that	highlights	transcendental	issues.
