A1 González Morales, Tania A2 Grado En Relaciones Laborales K1 Estrés laboral K1 Autoeficacia K1 Autónomos AB Work stress and self-efficacy are two factors that are very present in thelife of the self-employed worker. These two variables will directly affectthe health status and performance of the affected worker. The objective of this work is to study the relationship between work stressand self-efficacy in the self-employed workers of Tenerife. To do this, twotypes of surveys have been used, one measures stress, contains 25 items, and the other measures the level of self-efficacy in the worker, is composedof 10 items. The work revolves around two hypotheses, one being the existence of anonlinear relationship between the two variables and the other, the worstmanagement of stress on the part of the female gender compared to themale gender. Finally, the nonlinear relationship between the variable stress and selfefficacy was confirmed, thus fulfilling the first hypothesis. However, withrespect to the second hypothesis, no significant results were found amongthe different genders to be able to claim that women manage stress worse sothat the second hypothesis is ruled out.
