AB Loran C se convirtió en el sistema de posicionamiento más efectivo en aplicaciones civiles profesionales (marítimas y de aviación) hasta la llegada del GPS. En el presente trabajo se trata el sistema Loran actual, el eLoran, que es una versión del Loran C.
