Thismodality has some peculiarities that make it considered discriminatory, whichincreases the gender gap, as it is women who take part-time contracts. Thepresence of women in involuntary part-time Work and reductions in workinghours due to childcare or care for dependt persons is hihlighted.Their regulation currently does not effectively defend the principle of nondiscrimination and equality that is so often mencioned; the problems in thecalculation of benefits, pensions, formo f contributions, working conditions;inequalities that in the end fall mostly on women. There are many rulings thatpoint this out, there are many times that the courts of te European Union havepointed it out. In the end, waht is achieved is that women find themselves withminimal benefits, or that they do not get the contributory modality anda have toopt for non-contributory modalities.
