This made the scientist Tim Breners-Lee toconsider how to improve the cooperation between man and computer and to allowdespite the amount of information that there is, the capability to find the appropriateanswers to our search. This is how the idea of the Semantic Web arose, whosepurpose is to provide better defined and linked data on the web, which allows thecomputer to interpret the information without human need. Knowledge entered onthe web must be legible for computers, and that’s why the Semantic Web usesontologies for the representation of the knowledge. This ontology will help thecomputer to be able to interpret and reason the searches about an electricalinstallation with greater precision. Therefore, as the name of the project itself indicates, the ontology of an electricalinstallation will be made to give computers the ability to structure and handleinformation based on the semantic assessment of its contents, so that the artificialintelligence can understand the meaning of the content. Thus, the “Protégé” program will be used for this ontology through the OWLlanguage.
