In addition, with this we willcontribute to the environment, using sustainable technologies to reduce CO2emissions to the planet.The installation is carried out in a house located in San Sebastián de La Gomera.We take advantage of the space on the roof to implement 3 kWp.Residential self-consumption is a growing trend that increases its share ofelectricity production exponentially each year. In this case we have designed aninstallation taking into account the history of consumption of the house, withouttaking into account the consumption of the electric car since it will be rechargedat dawn.With the trend of rising cost of electricity bills and technological advances thathave emerged in the field of photovoltaics, it is becoming increasingly inevitablenot to take advantage of the advantages that this energy source can provide usboth economically and environmentally since It is an energy that produces zeroCO2 emissions.With the realization of this project, it is intended to bet on self-consumption andrenewable energies, an investment of almost 8 thousand euros will be made, inorder to reduce the electricity consumption of the grid and, if appropriate, thedischarge of surpluses.It should be noted that in La Gomera the grid is fed by a single source of energy,thermal energy, produced by a total of 8 diesel groups and two mobile generators.On average 1 kWh produces between 430-450 g of CO2, so if the average houseconsumes 30 kWh / day and we get the house to consume at least 15 kWh ofclean energy, we would be saving the planet 6450-6750 g of CO2 daily. Thesuccession of these small gestures by society are those that will make a moresustainable planet.It should be noted that the demand study has been carried out with real dataprovided by the owner of the home, with this it has been intended to give theproject the maximum possible realism. The data provided by the client shows usthe hour-by-hour consumption of the home over a year, this allows us to refine ina very significant way when sizing the necessary installation.During the development of the project I have attended several conferencesorganized by the UNEF (Spanish Photovoltaic Union) on residential self-consumption, these talks have been of great help when developing the project inwhich we find ourselves.Finally, we must not forget the electric vehicle charger, a charger designed forthe home has been selected with a very compact design and with a wide varietyof settings, which will allow us to program charges in off-peak hours. The Wallboxcharger is currently one of the most used on the market and presents greatreliability at a moderate price.
