AB The thyroid is a gland located in the anterior region of the neck, which regulatesimportant physiological processes through the production and release of hormones. Theaim of this work is the assessment of thyroid function by analysing importantparameters of thyroid function such as thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), free T4, oranti-thyroid antibodies Anti-TG and Anti-TPO.The list of clinical analytical tests related to thyroid function is extensive. By way ofillustration, a non-exhaustive list of these parameters will be shown and then we willfocus on the four parameters mentioned in the previous paragraph.Due to the chronological scope of the results used in this work, they have been extractedfrom the database of the clinical laboratory, the most recent results having been carriedout with the author of this dissertation present at the laboratory. It should be noted thatthe patients' follow-up data go back 15 years.The graphical representation of each parameter has been made in order to visualise itsevolution over time. In addition, the clinical characteristics of each patient have beentaken into account for the analysis of the three clinical cases discussed.In order to protect the anonymity of the patients, their identity with respect to first andlast names has been omitted. The laboratory has, however, provided age, sex and date ofthe results obtained.The discovery of the evolution of the parameters selected for study, the graphicvisualisation of these parameters, as well as the importance of the storage and custodyof the historical data, which have been retrieved from the database used, have beenparticularly significant. All of this allows the conclusions reached as a final complementto this Final Degree Project to be obtained.
