AB Eight new records of marine algae from the Canary Islands are described: Anadyomene saldanhae Joly et Oliveira-Filho, Pseudolithoderma adriaticum (Hauck) Verlaque, Zanardinia prototypus (Nardo) Nardo, Cystoseira mauritanica Sauvageau, Coelothrix irregularis (Harvey) Børgesen, Lophosiphonia cristata Falkenberg, Hildenbrandia occidentalis Setchell and Gelidiella antipai Celan. The Petrocelis cruenta J. Agardh phase of Mastocarpus stellatus (Stackhouse) Guiry is also reported. Data concerning ecological conditions, geographical distribution, morphology,anatomy and phenology are presented.
