AB The volcanic eruption at Cumbre Vieja on the island of La Palma has caused great material losses andhas deformed the landscape. Now that the volcano has been extinguished, the challenge is to relocateand rebuild the people and their homes. This challenge consists of creating solutions and a new landuse plan that favours the victims so that, as far as possible, they can rebuild their lives and guaranteetheir right to housing. In this paper we will study the different administrations involved in this urbanplanning matter and the different categories of land, paying special attention to the land affected by theeruption. Finally, we will analyse the solutions that have already been proposed by the Administration,both provisional and permanent. As well as the possible approaches and applicable scenarios with theircorresponding positive and negative consequences.
