Frailty is a multifactorial syndrome, whose prevalence increases with age and in women. For the treatment of many of this patient pathologies, the physiological changes that occur with aging must be considered, since they might have an impact on the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of the drug and, therefore, on the therapeutic strategy to be followed. This review describes the profile of frail elderly patient, as well as the therapeutic plan followed for the management of some of the most relevant pathologies, highlighting the drugs used in each of them. The bibliographic search was carried out in different databases such as Punto Q and PubMed, also making use of journals and books. For various reasons, there are few clinical trials focused on the therapeutic management of frail elderly patient. Age and comorbidities are some of them. Despite this, there are therapeutic schemes available, usually extrapolated from trials in young adults, which are used in this kind of patient.
