AB Astronomic tourism is considered an alternative touristic activity despite having many similaritiesto Nature, Cultural or Scientific tourism. A great deal of the Canarian population, together withpeople from mainland, are not conscious of the excellent quality the clean skies of the islands have,mainly Tenerife, and do not know anything about this type of tourism which has nothing to do withthe typical marketing strategy of selling touristic resorts close to sunny beaches. We will try todesign a promotion plan for astrotourism on the island of Tenerife in order to advertise this type ofactivity. First, we will do a marketing research on the type of potential customers and, second, wewill design our promotion plan to be finally presented in the City Council.
