AB Contractual relationships are stablished considering certaincircumstances, usually, those which take part at the time parties decideto become part of the contract, and decide the contractual obligationeach of them have to fulfil. This doesn´t prevent the possibility ofextraordinary, unexpected, variations to be generated, which provokeserious inequality in the balance of the obligations taken on, in manyoccasions. Even the loss of the legal transaction´s sense. This has beenthe case of the COVID-19 pandemic and its effects over contracts, beingalleviated, among others, by using the “rebus sic stantibus” clause.
