K1 repoblación K1 simbiosis K1 leguminosa K1 rizobio K1 endófito AB In eroded and degraded soils with sparse vegetation cover, plant revegetation is oftena failure. However other strategies, such as the joint planting of the plant species with itsparticular microbiota, lead to more successful revegetations. In arid soils poor in nitrogen, suchas those of Lanzarote, the rhizobium-legume symbiosis is a very promising alternative due tothe contribution of nitrogen and other resources thanks to plant growth-promoting propertiespresent both in the endosymbiont rhizobia, and in various root endophytes. In the presentwork we have analyzed the genetic diversity of the microbiota associated with the root nodulesof three species of legumes native to Lanzarote, we have evaluated some of their plant growthpromoting properties and their nodulation capacity. The results obtained demonstrate thedifficulty to obtain in vitro rhizobia from wild legumes, and the presence in the root nodules ofa variety of endophytic bacteria with plant growth promoting properties.
