Startingfrom the Schrödinger- von Neumann equation and developing it, a set of stochastic equations willbe obtained such that they describe the behaviour of a system of few degrees of freedom affectedby a bath of many degrees of freedom that is interacting with it. The bath, interpreted here as ameasuring device, will make the system experiment quantum decoherence. The objective of thiswork is to analyze the processes of evolution and decoherence of several studied systems, wherethe Hamiltonian of the system and the measuring device play opposite roles in the evolution:while the first tries to make the system evolve, the second one tries to make it collapse. A furtherstudy will be made about the Master Equation of the system and the average final state of it,which is called asymptotic average state. By doing this analysis the reader shall get a deeperunderstanding of the concepts of quantum decoherence and continuous measurement.
