RT info:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesis T1 Diseño de una caja de cambios secuencial de competición tipo Zeroshift A1 Delgado Méndez, Rubén A1 González Torres, Leví A2 Grado en Ingeniería Mecánica AB The main goal of the current project is to design and calculate a sequentialgearbox for a competition motorcycle using a Zeroshift design.The mechanism is formed by two main axes, four spur gears, two spurrings, two forks and a shift selection mechanism, composed by an axis and aslotted cylinder. This gearbox will be connected to a 31.4 kW electric motor whichwill be transmitted at a rotational speed of 6000 rpm, working with a torque witha value of 50 Nm.The objective of this gearbox is to improve the results of the motorcycledesigned by the University of La Laguna in the competition Motostudent byproviding it a transmission mechanism which allows the pilot to change betweentwo gears without the need of clutching. This means that the time spent clutchingfrom one gear to the other will be eliminated, resulting in a better time per lap,improving the position of the University team in the competition.This work includes the calculations related to resistance, stress, andfatigue verifications of the main elements of the gearbox, such as axes and spurgears, while others, such as the rolling bearings, were selected from thecatalogues of several manufacturers attending to working conditions.Furthermore, the design of every component and their assembly, and thesimulation of the working conditions of these components have been made byusing the CAD software SolidWorks.
