AB Inappropriate use of medicines in older people has serious health consequences: increased risk of adverse reactions and increased morbidity and mortality. For the health care system, it entails increased costs. An increasing number of adult patients are polymedicated in primary care consultations. Many pharmacies offer the service of Personalised Dosage Systems (PDS) for the correct administration of medicines.  In addition, the application of the STOPP/START criteria makes it possible to detect Potentially Inappropriate Prescriptions (PIP) in people aged 65 years or older.
