AB This paper presents the main results of multidisciplinary research projects carried out in recentyears on Tenerife’s high mountain volcanic landscape (in the National Park of Las Cañadas del Teide,in the Canary Islands). This project aims to study the evolution of the indigenous settlements of theGuanches, whose cultural substrate is among the Amazigh populations of North Africa, to providethe essential tools required to address similar occupation models and develop viable disseminationstrategies. It is a complex model of occupation, production and communication, understood as awhole that is led by the aborigines in the mountains of Tenerife, which is described here.
