AB Law 8/2021, of January 2nd, which reforms civil and procedural legislationto support people with disabilities in the exercise of their legal capacity, hasfinally arrived to complete the introduction of the Convention system of theUnited Nations of 2006 characterized by introducing "support measures" toensure the exercise of the legal capacity of persons with disabilities. Theaccidental protagonists of the new system are, without a doubt, the legaloperators who have been entrusted with its implementation and, among them,notaries stand out for being the most significant support in terms ofconfiguring the will. With the help of this figure, they will lead their owndecisions and will be able to carry out all legal business with the limitationsthat, advised at all times, they will determine on their own.
