AB This End of Degree Paper deals with the content and characteristics of the VI GeneralAgreement of the Construction Sector, published on 26th September, 2017. It analyseshow the recent labour reform has influenced the collective agreement and the recentupdates in order to adapt to the current legal regulations, identifying the most importantclauses incorporated both normative and mandatory, as well as the cases ofcomplementarity and supplementarity, of applicability and respect for the autonomy ofthe will to the employment contract.This report presents the characteristics and all the basic regulations of the agreementthat all companies in the construction sector must strictly comply with, regardless ofwhether they can be complemented by regulations of provincial collective agreementsin the sector.A short revision is carried out about historical background of the different agreementsthat precede the Construction Convention is made starting from its conceptualizationThe Royal Legislative Decree 32/2021 has required that many rules to modify itscontent, both legal texts, the Workers' Statute, regulations, as well as the variouscollective agreements, including the construction sector, to conform with the recentlegal framework. Mention should be made of the Resolution of Agreement ofAmendment of July 23, 2022 of the Collective Agreement of the construction. One ofthe most scandalous changes has been in the area of recruitment, with the abolition offixed-term contracts for works and services and equal treatment and opportunities formen and women.
