AB Over the last two decades, digitalization has become a fundamental phenomenonin our daily lives, as it allows society to perform several tasks with improvedefficiency and quality. Although its use is widely spread in many contexts, thetruth is some of its applications, especially those in relation to extended reality,have not been completely implemented in the tourism industry. This researchwork aims to analyze how the Canary Islands could perform a sensibleapplication of these digital features in the tourism offer of the archipelago. Forthat purpose, a compilation of places, products, and services will be examined inorder to detect potential digital enhancements for them. While most qualitativeinformation collected for this project has been gathered mostly from academicresearch and documents online, official web sites and audiovisual material wereconsidered as well. On the other hand, some quantitative data was extracted fromstatistic organizations and surveys carried out by official institutions. Inconclusion, my main intention is to prove that digitalization in the Canary Islands’tourism environment presents several advantages in many contexts
