As a point of origin, we start from an individual SCADA system for each of the stations of the FESTO plant carried out by the engineer Javier Rodríguez de la Rosa [6]. A SCADA system is not more than a system made up of different pieces of equipment whose function is supervision, control and data acquisition. The following sections of this document will explain the characteristics of these systems in greater depth. The automation plant on which the project is based belongs to the German company FESTO. It is made up of a total of five small stations that replicate some of the processes present in a generic automation industry, from the storage and distribution of parts to the processing and classification of final products. In general terms, the elements that make up the equipment of the project are the following: ● Automation plant with five stations, each with specific sensors and actuators ● SIEMENS’ PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) for each of the stations ● PROFINET network for communication between devices ● HMI panel (Human-Machine Interface) for user interaction The multiscreen system has been implemented by defining one of the most modern automata that we have as a server, obtaining from the plant all the information and variables necessary for the operation of the screens. The interfaces that make up the system are: ● Starting screen ● Station selection screen ● Continuous plant operation screen ● Individual station displays, automatic and manual operation Once all the information is available in the master automaton, which from the SCADA's point of view, is the S7-1500 automaton belonging to station 4, it is linked to the HMI panel and the different plant screens are configured.
