RT info:eu-repo/semantics/article T1 Bases metodológicas para los procesos de lenguas extranjeras por contenido en la ESO A1 Scott-Tennent, Christopher AB An experimental content-based process model has been designed,within the framework of the new Spanish comprehensive secondaryeducation, for developing, through the study of non-linguistic content(expressed in the target foreign language), learners’ capacity to use theFL. The learner also applies subsidiary cognitive and academic skillswhich will be transferable to the rest of the curriculum. A substantial(and fully documented) empirical study obtained evidence regardingthe experimental model’s potential to generate satisfactory and beneficialprocesses in the classroom, working with average students in arepresentative state secondary school. This article sets out the methodologicalbasis upon which the experimental model was successfullyapplied.
