AB In this paper, a systematic literature review ofrapid control prototyping issue is presented, which facilitatesthe education in modeling and control of dynamic systems,because it reduces the effort programming. Six questions wereproposed that were used in the analyses of one hundredreferences among conference and journal papers. The usedquestions are, for example, the dates and geographic regions ofthe publication, software and hardware platforms, differences,similarities and application areas. Several applications werereviewed in electrical systems, transport vehicles, nonlinearsystems, power electronics, process control, industrialautomation and robotics. It concludes in which geographicregions are more employed, advantages and problems of his use,what differences exist between the commercial and free softwaredesign.
