A1 León Hernández, Carmen Nayara A2 Grado En Farmacia K1 Antimicrobianos K1 2,5-dicetopiperazinas AB Antimicrobial resistance is one of the most important threats to human health. Todeal with it, new drugs are being developed. This work is dedicated to theantimicrobial activity of 2,5-diketopiperazines. The bibliographic review of articlesrelated to antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal activity was carried out in differentelectronic databases (ScienceDirect, Punto Q, Web of Science, Scopus). 5articles where the activities of 2,5-diketopiperazines were located based on theiramino acid residues were selected and, although good results were obtained, theactivity levels are relatively low compared to clinical drugs. The studies carriedout show that diketopiperazines can be considered privileged structures that bindto multiple classes of unrelated receptors with high affinity and with a wide rangeof biological applications that are being studied for the development of futuredrugs.
