AB This is a research study which is to know the profile of people who act as volunteers in a volunteer organization in the field of social action in the context of the island of Tenerife. The objectives pursued are to know the similarities and differences and draw meaningful conclusions about the data provided by a representative sample of volunteer’s five entities belonging to that particular area, according to various aspects within two variables: their socio-demographic profile and motivation to exercise his work as volunteer. These data are collected through individual questionnaire which volunteer’s ace of these entities is answering a series of questions included within these two variables. As research findings is to highlight the significant majority of women within these institutions, the relatively young age of the sample respondents belonging to them and the differences in those persons in reference to his personal view on the valuation the work done by the society. It has been a very complete learning that not only covered the knowledge of those variables, but has also been an approach to these entities, its operation, its work, and especially the importance in society
