AB This paper focuses on the benefits that offers group instruction in contrast towith traditional teaching. At the same time it delves into musical education and thebenefits offered by the learning of this art, in the intellectual and social development ofchildren.I will review the main features of group teaching, its principles and strategiesand focus the attention in the adaptation of them to music teaching, picking at the sametime a number of aspects that we need to take into account derived from theparticularities of the art of music.Will explain in addition a series of experiences of practice real of the teachinggroup of the music made by an Academy of music located in Santa Cruz of Tenerife, tomode of exemplification of these benefits and so make the viability real of thismethodology.As part of the project a series of activities will be presented aimed at the practiceof group pedagogy adapted to the teaching of the transverse flute.These intend to be a guide for the faculty interested in putting into practice thispedagogy, always leaving margin for the teacher to elaborate their own of activities,adapting them to the teaching of different instruments
