RT info:eu-repo/semantics/article T1 El influjo de El Quijote en Joseph Andrews A1 Acosta Aide, Santiago AB The present article tackles a comparative study of Don Quijote and JosephAndrews in order to show Fielding's literary indebtedness to Cervantes. Thesurvey is carried through in terms of structure, characterization, andnarrative techniques. As far as structure is concerned, the three elementsarticulating Joseph Andrews (road, inn, house) have been drawn from DonQuijote. As to characterization, Adams and Joseph, Fielding's heroes, areunfolded in their parallelisms with Don Quijote. Finally, several narrativecorrespondences are provided to illustrate how close Fielding was toCervantes in his use of metaliterature and literary economy. PB Universidad de La Laguna.
