Wealsoprovidealternativecharacterizationsof theabovepropertybyimposingconditionsonthe infinitesimalgeneratoroperatorandonthecogenerator operatorof{T(t)}t≥0.Moreover,weprovethatanon-unitary2-isometryTon aHilbertspacesatisfyingthekernelcondition, that is, T∗T(KerT∗)⊂KerT∗ , canbeembeddedintoaC0-semigroupifandonlyifdim(KerT∗)=∞.
