AB Cuban Revolution created a new wave of imitation in Latin America. Different radical movements wanted to reproduce the Cuban experience in their own countries. In Venezuela, some parties tried to get this objective but none of them with as much effort as the MIR. This leftist party emerged in a historical turning point, and with its own characteristics. They fought to build a revolutionary nationalist alternative in Venezuela, but ever with a Cuban aroma.
