AB This Master's Thesis aims to analyze the distinction between the forms of involvement in acrime, namely, perpetration and participation, within the jurisprudential doctrine of theSupreme Court up to the present day. It starts from the prevailing conception of the so-called'doctrine of the dominion of the act' in common crimes, continues with the definition, requirements, and application that the Supreme Court jurisprudence makes of the variousforms of perpetration and participation, and concludes with doctrinal debates arising whendistinguishing these figures and assigning criminal responsibility in reckless, omissive, andspecial commission modalities. It extracts the doctrinal criteria followed and employed byour Supreme Court to resolve such issues from its most recent judgments.
