This factor is compounded by the application of taxes on incoming and outgoing goods,which cause delays and increase costs, sometimes acting as a detriment to companies shippingto this region. In addition to this, the implementation of e-commerce is relatively recent in theislands, which is why this study was carried out, the main objective of which is to obtain the profileof the Canary Islands consumer via the Internet, as well as to carry out an analysis of thedifficulties of e-commerce in the Canary Islands. Thus, it was found that the level of confidence inthe Internet affects the number of purchases and that the most frequent problem is delays in thedelivery of goods.
