AB The main objective of this work is to examine the historical evolution of juvenilepunishment within the Spanish legal framework, contextualizing the criteria used todetermine guilt. It delves into the history of Spanish law, highlighting changes in policiesand laws related to juvenile offenders.Additionally, it conducts a comparative analysis with legal systems of other countries tobroaden the understanding of the subject.In a context of increasing crimes committed by minors, it is essential to understand howcurrent laws are addressing this issue and if history can offer lessons for the present. Theapproach is on providing a detailed overview of historical evolution and comparative law.This analysis will contribute to a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunitiesin the legal treatment of juvenile offenders in contemporary Spanish society
