AB In this Final Degree Project, a study has been carried out on the management of concentrated feeding in a semi-extensive dairy goat farm. The objective is to evaluate the possibility of reducing feed costs and consequently increase the profitability of the livestock activity. We worked with a total of 14 animals of the Tinerfeña Norte breed, divided into two homogeneous batches in relation to age, number of calvings, number of offspring and productive characteristics. The experimental lot(lot 1) received the concentrate that corresponded to it according to the nutritional recommendations of the French Institute for Agronomic Research, INRA. These nutritional requirements were recalculated every fifteen days according to the average milk production of the lot and live weight. The control lot (lot 2) received the fixed amount of concentrate traditionally provided by the farmer. The milk production of each animal was monitored daily. This information was complemented with data on nutritional quality and sanitary quality, for which different milk analyses of the whole herd were carried out. The results show that the amount of concentrate supplied to the experimental batch was significantly lower than the control batch (0.96 vs. 1.10). This difference translates into an economic saving of 12,73% for the farm. The lower amount ofconcentrate did not translate into significant differences in milk production, nutritional quality of the milk, and weight of the animals.
