AB In the last years, there have beenseveral controversies in the CanaryIslands about the destructionof biodiversity in pursuit of theenrichment of hotel or tourismbusinessmen. Many projects withmillionaire budgets are trying to bebuilt over endemic species or Canariancultural heritage. On the other hand,this tourism model seems to bedesigned forgetting the citizens of theCanary Islands , setting standards thatare way too far from Canary averageeconomy.As a result of this personal concern,research has been done in orderto get a solid base of knowledgeto work with, to develop a designproduct that teaches to Canaries howimportant and needed is to take careour land, and to those who visit usthat the Canary Islands are not just arecreational space, but a territory witha great cultural and environmentalwealth.This project is based on designinga board game from scratch, sincethe theme and context to the gamemechanics that teaches the playersthe importance of communicationand cooperation. This game would be designed thinking about abouta general audience, to make it asaccessible as possible, and so themessage can reach more people. Inorder to make the game accessiblethere are several factors considered,such as game’s depth, materials usedinto the game, game’s price or game’sdifficulty. This project concludes withthe whole development of the game,as well as the elaboration of all thepieces that form it and those that weredesigned for promotion.
