AB This work addresses the importance of integrating art,design, and play into the hospital environment toimprove the emotional well-being of hospitalizedchildren. Focusing on art education, it examines howdesigning more colorful and welcoming pediatricspaces can play a crucial role in creating a morehumane, patient-centered hospital environment forpediatric patients. The initiative PELUCHES, whichaims to create cozy spaces in the Day Center of Pediatric Oncology at Hospital La Candelaria, is revisited.Through a methodology encompassing research, sketching, and development phases, various elements areexplored, such as types of fabric, plush toy patterns,children's illustrations, coloring books, stickers, decorative doors, and kits for children. The objective is toprovide a more positive and comforting experiencefor children and their families in the hospital, promoting community participation and offering momentsof distraction and joy in a hospital setting.
