AB Directive 2002/14/EC is one of the directives that has gained the mostimportance in the last century. Its objective of promoting the participationof workers in the company, establishing a general framework to guaranteecompliance with the rights of information and consultation in Europeancompanies has meant a great advance in the rights of community workers,but at the same time, The transposition carried out by the Member Stateshas generated numerous questions. Among these we find some such asWhere does the need to create Directive 2002/14/EC come from? Whatinfluence has it had on the Spanish Regulation? What are the changes that itproduces in employment and how does it affect to workers? What are thedifferences and similarities with respect to other directives that share thesame objective? …Consequently, this work aims to reflect on the issues generated by thecommunity legislator, relying on doctrinal expert opinion andjurisprudence.
