AB The Directive (EU) 2022/2041 on adequate minimum wages in theEuropean Union seeks to guarantee fair remuneration for workers,establishing criteria for setting adequate minimum wages, promotingcollective bargaining, and improving access to wage protection. In Spain,although mechanisms exist to guarantee the minimum wage, thetransposition of the Directive will require adjustments to existing legislationand policies. This work analyzes the Directive, its legal basis, and the criteriait establishes, in addition to the analysis of the SMI in relation to theDirective.
